Well, I guess she is "officially" ours now.
Our debt to St. David's has been paid in full.
No more fear of the hospital repo-ing E if we were late with a payment.
On the other hand, it closes the door on our Plan B;
in which, if we were THAT sleep deprived and overwhelmed, we would just bring her back to the hospital and say,
"Hey, she's really yours!"
Hmm...
(odd enough that she picked this evening to rear her cantankerous side...)
All kidding aside, it is a nice feeling to be done with that.
And I don't just mean payments. The moral to our hospital billing saga is that, God forbid you are ever hospitalized, before you are discharge make sure that the billing department has your correct phone number, current address and insurance info.
Call them again, even if you JUST spoke with them.
And then call them again to make sure they got it the first 10 times.
I must have spoken to 3 different people from the billing department before we left, and they still had my college phone number and address when all was said and done; and had me classified as uninsured and actually billed Medicaid and overcharged me in the long run.
As nice as the news of the refund was, it is no where near as sweet as this...

This picture is beautiful...she is really becoming a little girl isn't she?
On another note...hospital bills are ridiculous, after I paid Brooklyn's off I got a phone call that I owed another $380! I'm also glad that saga is over...
Congrats on fully owning E.
I know how great it is to finally pay off that balance. It hasn't been that long since I paid off her Daddy. Atleast it doesn't seem like it's been a long time..
