Mother's Day Weekend

We had a busy weekend!
We made a SURPRISE visit to San Antonio to spend Mother's Day with Nana.

She was so surprised!
:-D

We crashed a pre-planned lunch on Friday and then got to spend time with Uncle Kyle and Aunt Daphne.

I don't know what his new obsession with laying on ottomans is all about. But, its pretty cute.
As you can see in the background, there is NEVER a dull moment with Emily around.
W thinks he's Alex the Lion and roaring

Saturday, we took the kids to the Witte Museum to see their new exhibit "Dinosaurs Unearthed".
It was amazing.
I'm not big into dinosaurs, but holy cow, was I blown away.
So, Weston loves dinosaurs...on TV or in a book.
Weston does NOT love life sized dinosaurs that move and roar.
He wasn't being whimpy, these things were that realistic!
Of course, Emily has a flare for the dramatic and escalated the wailing and terrorized screams.

We were finally able to let them push the buttons on one of the models and control their movements.
THEN it was on!

BTW, what is up with the modern dinosaur names??
When I was a kid you had brontosaurus, T-Rex, stegosaurus, pterodactyl.
(yeah, I went there)
I kid you not, there was one that I thought was a small Tyrannosaurus.
Silly me, it was a Yangchuanosaurus.
o-O
I'm glad I don't have to memorize this for science class.

Weston wouldn't let me take a picture with a dinosaur.
But it was ok to pick out a nice soft, cuddly one to take home.

Happy Mother's Day to Nana, Meme, Granny and MeMaw!
