One Handsome Boy

We went to County Line for dinner tonight.
Yes, my pancreas is in shock after all the awesome, carbohydrate laden bread I ate.
Who cares about you anyway, stupid pancreas?
I digress.
So, E is sitting in her high chair next to us, enjoying the super delicious homemade bread when she spots our dinner neighbor at the next table.
Of course she is a people watcher and doesn't know that it is not polite to get caught staring.
So, after making this guy uncomfortable for 10 minutes or so, he says...
"If my daughter were here, she would totally want to go out with you."
The Mommy and The Daddy converse via their marital telepathic powers:
Hmmm. That is extremely odd. Is your daughter a lesbian pedophile?
Bizarre guy: "Yeah, she's seven."
The Mommy and Daddy:
Still extremely weird and uncomfortable that you are bringing this up...
Bizarre guy: "She flirts with all the boys, no matter how old they are."
The Mommy to the The Daddy:
OMG!!!!!!!! HE THINKS MY PRECIOUS, BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER IS A BOY!?!
The Daddy to The Mommy: (still via marital mental powers)
Well, she and Jim from "The Office" do go to the same hair stylist.
The Mommy to The Daddy, sneering face and all:
She does not look like a boy. She has a pink shirt on for God's sake!
The Daddy:
The rat-tail speaks for itself.
Darn rat-tail. Your days are numbered.

Take Me Out To The Ball Game

What a beautiful Sunday it was!
My poor Emmalina has been sick and cooped up inside the house
ALL. WEEK. LONG.
She finished her antibiotics yesterday and is no longer deemed contagious.
So, we busted her out of quarantine!
We started our outing with lunch at Chuy's with Ms. Sarah.

E sporting a rice and bean goatee.
So nice, I had to show it twice.

The Daddy won tickets to the Reckless Kelly Charity Softball shindig at the Dell Diamond.

So, we headed out to Round Rock for some ball and Texas Country Music.

My beautiful girl's first softball game.

Mommy and Miss Emily waiting for the good music to start.

Loving the view.

Guess who got into the funnel cake??

What?! I was hungry!

Toddy

As The Daddy put it, in his best Brittany Spears' impression:
E is not a baby, not yet a toddler...
At 10 months old today, she is now a bab-ler
Or, as we prefer, toddy.
So, what rocks a 10 month old's socks?
1. Cruising all over the house and trying to get into trouble.
E hearts electrical outlets.
2. Staring deep into your eyes, and then trying to poke them out.
3. Harassing the cat...always an awesome choice
4. Reaching out to touch someone (so sweet!!)
5. Sipping ICE COLD H2O and juice from her straw sippy cup like a pro.
No drinking problems here.
6. Inspecting your grill.
Do I see Emily, DDS on a name tag???
7. Pulling things off the shelf in the store.
8. Mommy-Emily howler monkey calls during dinner.
(Mommy hearts this)
9. Eating YOUR food.
10. New favorite saying: Uh-OH!! When something "accidentally" falls on the floor.
60 days until my pumpkin is ONE!!!
She may turn into a squash!

Happy Easter

"I am the way, and the truth, and the life;
no one comes to the Father, but by Me."
~John 14:6

Wishing you all the blessings and joy of Easter.

Gypsy

I'm nakey! Outside!

And I found a fellow nomad friend.

This is so liberating!

Ok, I've stayed in this place long enough.

Time to move on.

Oh! A beautiful meadow and spring!

Eep! I have been spied!

By a friendly wiener-pup!

I think I'll stick around this place for a while.

Cover Girl

We had Emily's 9 month portraits taken last week. She hammed it up the entire time.
Obviously, she is no stranger to the camera:
